How can I fit more tiles onto a dashboard?

The most common approach to fitting more tiles onto a single dashboard is to adjust the base Tile Size using the Dashboard Settings
  1. Open your desired dashboard
  2. Tap the `...` in the bottom right corner
  3. Select Configuration
  4. Adjust the Tile Size /Number of Columns Wide to your preferred setting
  5. Tap Save at the bottom of the Dashboard Settings window
The Tile Size option is shown when you are using a dashboard 'Sizing Approach' of 'Reflowing'. The Number of Columns Wide setting is shown when you are using the 'Scalable' option (default).

For reflowing dashboards, if you want something smaller than Tiny or in between two sizes, you can choose the 'Custom' option which allows you to enter a custom tile size.

Tip: Half Height Tiles

A common use case for smaller tile sizes is to achieve 'half height' tiles. You can find more details in the following community post:
The overall concept is to reduce the base Tile Size from Medium (160px) to Tiny (80px) which shrinks all of the tiles by half. Then you can manually adjust each of the tiles that you want to be a larger size.

Fully Kiosk Browser

If you are using Fully Kiosk Browser on an Android device, including Amazon Fire tablets, you can use the following process to change the zoom level. This is particularly helpful if you have two differently sized tablets (like an 8" and 10") and would like to design a single dashboard that appears to scale the same way across both dashboards.
  1. Swipe out the left navigation drawer and select Settings
  2. Choose Web Zoom and Scaling
  3. Uncheck 'Use Wide Viewport'
  4. Change the Initial Scale to your desired value (eg. 125)
Note: 150% should be close to the default so something like a value of 125 would fit more tiles onto the screen.
  5. Return to your dashboard and observe the results - adjust further as needed
When using the same dashboard across multiple tablets of different sizes, our recommendation is to use the Scalable dashboard option. For Reflowing dashboards, it's recommended to build a dashboard for each individual viewing device, but there are cases where using custom Tile Sizes that roughly fit between two slightly different device sizes or a custom Initial Scale setting in Fully Kiosk Browser between two devices with very different sizes.
