How do I close / delete my SharpTools account?

If you would like to close your SharpTools account and delete all associated data, you can do so from the Manage Account link from your user page.

Tap the Delete Account option at the bottom of the Manage Account → Profile tab and follow the instructions.

If you have an email address on file at the time of account deletion, you will receive an email confirming the initial deletion request and again once your account has been deleted. 

Accounts are enqueued for deletion in a pending status for 3 days. During this grace period, you can cancel the deletion without any impact to your account. Alternatively, you can expedite the deletion to 30 minutes but remember that the deletion is permanent and the account and associated data cannot be recovered once the timer concludes.

🛑 You should not manually disconnect SmartThings or Hubitat locations from your account if you want all of your location and thing data purged from the system along with your account. If you manually disconnect the location before requesting your account deletion, the location information is not associated with your account at the time of deletion and thus won't be purged with an account deletion. 

Home Assistant and Homey connections are not impacted by this as they offer a DELETE function rather than a DISCONNECT function and the data is immediately purged when you delete the location.
